RELEASE MARINE EXPANDS THE 4TH ANNUAL JOHN A PETERS TARPON TOURNAMENT TO 2 DAYS AND ADDS A FLY DIVISION

The proceeds of the John A Peters Tarpon Tournament benefit the Savannah Community

​

 

WHAT: The John A Peters Tarpon Tournament Committee has decided to add a fish day for this year’s Tarpon Tournament. Fish one of a two-day tournament. In 2016 we were able to host a record number of anglers, provide legitimate prizes and donate $5000 back to the Savannah community.

 

WHEN: The Tournament will kick off with a Captain’s Meeting held at Tubby’s Tank House in Thunderbolt on Wednesday August 9th. Fish Friday the 11th or Saturday the 12th. The awards party will conclude after fishing on Saturday at the beautiful Savannah Yacht Club.

 

WHY: The John A. Peters Tarpon Tournament is held in memory of a legendary Savannah Sports Fisherman, John Peters. John’s Family in Partnership with Release Marine and Savannah Distributing hold the tournament each year. The Tournament intends to not only exemplify their Dad’s passion for fishing, but also mirror his philosophy of helping others. All of the JAPTT proceeds will be distributed back to those in need in the Savannah Community.
